BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Francesco Pio Dotti was born on 17.2.1956 in San Giorgio delle Pertiche (PD); he completed regular lower secondary school studies at the Salesian Enrico di Sardagna Institute in Castello di Godego (TV), and upper secondary school studies at the Liceo Artistico in Padua, where he graduated in Artistic Maturity on 4.VIII.1974. In September of the same year, he enrolled at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice, in the Academic Year 1974/'75, in the degree course in Architecture. On 21.XII.1977 he was appointed Associate Academic of the Accademia Tiberina, Institute of University Culture and Higher Studies.
In the period 1977/'78 he collaborated on the drafting of the Project for the "Arrangement of Piazza Stamira" competition in Ancona, with Professors Angelo Villa and Gianni Fabbri, professors of Architectural Composition III at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice. The Project is reported and published in Italian architecture magazines. During 1979 he collaborated with Professor Bruno Minardi, professor of Architectural Composition at the University Institute of Venice, on the drafting of the project for an urban residence on top of a skyscraper on 5th Avenue in New York. The project is published in the volume "Architecture as superfetation", Milan 1994.
Participates in the IV Architectural Composition Course held by Professors Carlo Aymonino and Luciano Semerani at the Department of Theory and Technique of Building Design with a work on the urban recovery of a "campiello veneziano", residences and public building in the Cannaregio district in Venice. The work was published in the volume “Progetto Venezia”, Venice 1980.
He graduated in architecture, in the extraordinary section of the academic year 1979, on 22.III.1980 at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice with honors, with Professor Aldo Rossi, discussing a thesis on historical research associated with design architecture entitled: “The architecture of Piazza Veneta. Analysis and proposals". The thesis work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions and publications in specialized Italian and foreign books and magazines (cf. ex m. “THE SCHOOL OF VENICE”, in ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST, London, 1985).
In January 1981, he obtained the qualification to practice as an architect by passing the State Exam held at the University Institute of Architecture in Venice and began his professional career as a freelancer with studio in Camposampiero (PD) Since 1984 Since 1993 he has been teaching at the Antonian College of Foreign Missions of the Friars Minor Conventual in Camposampiero.
From 1993 to today he has carried out the free profession of architect mainly dealing with the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage in Italy and abroad. He is the founder of Studio Dotti, an architecture, urban planning and design studio, of Revolux Studios S.r.l. (www.revoluxstudio.com) and Architectural Restoration (www.restauroconservazione.com)
In our thirty years of activity, we provide the customer with all the services necessary to proceed with the conservative restoration and any adjustments (structural, functional, distributive) of each historic building, garden or park.
The services are developed starting from the survey of the artifacts with different instruments (laser scanners, application software, photoplanes, orthophotos, calibrated cameras) preparation of the restoration project, authorizations from the Superintendency with admissibility of contributions and deductions - tax deductions, work can be set up , management of the same and testing.
We also take care of the examination of buildings for purchase and sale negotiations, financing for the restoration of cultural assets, practices for the export of works, the selection of specialized personnel for asset conservation activities, research archive and, in general, any activity connected with the world of art.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Graduate in Graphic and Multimedia Communication Sciences and Techniques, Technical Surveyor in Cultural Heritage, registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Venice and Rovigo, professional drone pilot, CSE & CSP, since 2008 he has worked alongside Francesco Pio Dotti on every restoration and conservation project involving Cultural Heritage undertaken by the studio, of which he now heads the restoration department as designer and technical manager. He operates primarily in Padua and throughout the Veneto region, with on-site experience extending to Tuscany and other Italian regions, bringing the same methodological attention to every project: combining the technical and regulatory rigor required by the Soprintendenza with the sensitivity needed to preserve the historical and cultural identity of each property.
He has overseen, from the survey stage through to site management, the restoration of villas, castles and monumental complexes including Villa Collizzolli Dall'Armi (Noventa Padovana, PD), Castello di Sapia and its Oratory in Monteriggioni (SI), Villa Il Colombaio (Castelnuovo Berardenga, SI), Villa Paolina Bonaparte - Villa di Compignano (Massarosa, LU), the Rotonda del Brunelleschi and the Convent of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Florence, Villa Da Ponte in Cadoneghe (PD), Villa Ferramosca (VI) and Villa Le Fonti (FI).
Collaboration with the Civic Museums of Padua
In 2020, he carried out restoration and routine maintenance work on 14th-century sculptures and bas-reliefs belonging to prominent Paduan families, alongside other 14th-century works held in the permanent collection of the Eremitani Museum in Padua.
Founder of the CIFF – Cittadella International Film Festival and Museum Curator
He is the founder and organizer of the CIFF – Cittadella International Film Festival and its associated Torre di Malta Award (Tower of Malta Award). As part of the festival, he curated and organized an exhibition at the Eremitani Museum in Padua dedicated to cinematic graphic art from the 1930s to the 1980s, hosted for three days at the Chiesa del Torresino in Padua.
Site Safety and Coordination As Health and Safety
Coordinator for both the design and execution phases (CSP/CSE), he ensures the correct planning and management of safety on restoration sites in the province of Padua and throughout Veneto, in full compliance with Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Aerial Survey and 3D Mapping He personally operates drones for surveying and capturing high-definition imagery, applied both to the diagnostics of stone materials — identifying cracks, detachments and states of decay in stone that are otherwise difficult to detect from ground level — and to the three-dimensional mapping of historic buildings through orthophotogrammetry techniques, producing precise 3D models to support the design of restoration interventions.
Materials Diagnostics and Paper Conservation
He completed an advanced ENAIP specialization program in Cultural Heritage conservation and trained in non-invasive diagnostic analysis techniques applied to art with Dr. Antonino Cosentino, director of CHSOS (Cultural Heritage Science Open Source).
He has developed a specific specialization in the conservation of graphic works on paper, with particular expertise in the work of Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
